Cyclists will take part in the Grafton to Inverell Cycle Classic on Saturday 27 April, starting from Prince Street in Grafton and finishing on Vivian Street, Inverell. The race will commence at 7:15am with rolling road closures in place from 6.30am and the last riders are expected to reach Inverell by 5pm.

The Gwydir Highway between Tindal Road (15km west of Grafton) and Bald Nob Road (25km east of Glen Innes) will be closed westbound from 7:00am to 1:30pm and eastbound between 5am and 1.30pm.

• Grafton closures: Prince Street between Victoria Street to the river 5.30am to 8.30am. Bent Street-Charles Street roundabout and Ryan Street-Skinner Street roundabout from 7am-7.45am.
• The event will be travelling on the Gwydir Highway between Glen Innes and Dodds Lane (20km east of Inverell) between 9.30am and 4pm.
• Elsmore Road at Inverell will be under traffic control for the event and motorists travelling in the area should allow extra travel time. Local traffic will have limited access to Elsmore Road during this period.
• Motorists are advised to exercise caution, allow extra travel time and follow the directions of traffic control on site.

Please plan your journey and consider using one of the alternate east-west corridors such as Oxley Highway, Bruxner Highway or Waterfall Way between closure times.
